Whenever I imagine about the situation in which this country is, I get confused.

India due to its vast dimensions of area, climate and culture is called as a sub-continent This is a very great compliment There is a harmony among different religions and castes of people Wow, but this happens only in those urban parts of India where people call themselves modern What about rural India?

Some people in rural India think that Sonia Gandhi is Indira Gandhi They don't know that Mrs.Indira Gandhi died long ago. Many of them, even some of you who are reading this, don't know what your fundamental rights are But,all know what was the latest movie of their favorite actor Most of us don't take bills for whatever we buy. Most of us don't pay taxes. It is estimated that the black money in India is about 2000000000000 rupees ( 20 lakh crores) But even today, some people in India die because of hunger.

The Parliamentary System is about lose its faith among people. Some of the respectable Members of Parliament were found guilty of Human Trafficking and some of them were asking money for raising questions in the Parliament. Now, the drafters of The Constitution thought of these problems and they very cleverly divided the power among three branches of the Constitution i.e , Legislature, Judiciary and Executive Executive works under Legislature but Judiciary is independent.

The only hope for India is that India will be the youngest country in the world for the next 20 years i.e more than 50% of the population would be under the age of 35. Let's hope that the Government works towards the greatest problem it's gonna face--Unemployment.

You have raised a very important and critical issue.

Today, lot of Indians, want to improve the system in India. But due to the extent to which the Indian system has been corrupted, its very difficult for any person to fight against the system. One of my friend got selected in Civil services and was very happy at that time. He was very honest, very enthusiastic and very excited when he joined civil services. Actually after joining, he find out lot of issues and scams. But he was unable to rectify them because everybody from top to bottom are involved in that. He had to fight lot of people but ultimately he got transferred and was told (directly and indirectly) that keep quiet. And reality is different than hindi movies. You can't go against politicians and peope in power if you want to live and want your family to be safe.

So, should we just sit and let this happen ? If not what we can do ? This is a million dollar question ...

I don't have answer to this but at least we can start doing whatever we can do it at our side. At least whatever best we can do within our limits, we should do. This is what I an say at this time...

I would love to hear other fellow Indians.

I agree with you, this problems needs to be addressed ASAP.

One of the main root cause of the problems we face in India is castism. Britishers ignited the castism and indian politicians followed the same divide & rule policy and further divided us by bringing in quotas. This further led to hatered & civil wars btw. different communities. I wonder what would be the end of this.

Although economically India is doing wonders. In today's Times of India there is a headline...."India creating more jobs than China: OECD". Indian companies have expanded globally. This definately gives us feel proud & happy.

But due to the corrupt practices followed in Indian system makes me feel...we move ahead one step and come back two steps.

Lets hope the younger generation comes together and forward to fight for the better India.

Your love towards india can be seen through your words and I appriciate this. Now about your confusion I only can say you are not confused, you are worried for india. I tell you that it does'not matter whether people know Sonia Gandhi or not (Don't mind yaar!  why the people of India need to know about the wife of Rajiv Gandhi. Do we know the name of wives of Lal bahadur shashri,Bhairo Singh sekhawat, Murarji desai, Narsimha Rao,Inder Kumar Gujral,V.P. Singh). 

I just wanted to say that  things are just the results of powerty,curruption,unemployment and these things are nothing new in developing countries.

Just keep doing something good for India at your end regardless other are doing this or not, like paying taxes,ask for bill, prevent wastage of natural and energy resources.

Well its most typical question in today's young generation mind that-------> what we can do? as whole system is crupt and no one care about it.

I believe that no one will come to you and will say that yeah now your turn, go and clean the system unless and untill you start cleaning system at your end. Take a example of daily routine---- if you are going somewhere by bus specially in local buses, you gave money to bus conductor and if fair is of Rs 14 and you gave Rs 15, bus conductor will not return that Rs 1 untill you bag for that. Sometime we leave it thinking that what to ask about rs 1.

How many people amongs us have done something for our country ? Yeah we can do, we can change the picture. How?

Lets take a example :- We all are well educated and resoursefull. How many people contributed to litracy? Again How? If a single educated person try to litrate a single poor person then atleast we can say that we have done something for our country. That poor person can be anyone, can be one at your work place, can be one of your neighbour. But who has enough time to think about it. How many people amongs us has rooted a tree? we all worried about our environment.... how we can contribute about it? We can root a tree in public garden, public place. How many people switch off the lights when does not need it?

I am agree that the Indian system has become so much currupt that it can take half of century to clean. But if we will not do anything nothing wil happen. To take away old currupt politicians we can make a law for general election -----> Age limit criteria in general election.

Keep thinking, keep growing.

I totally agree with your concern and I will say 99.99% people believe that Kuch Nahi Sudrega. And I don't blame them as situation is like that only. Thats been already mentioned in above posts.

• You can't fight against corrupt policemen (who are sold to Dons like daud and other people)
• 99% of Government and politicians are corrupt.
• and so on.. I will not repeat the crap which we all know

I will say that if you can keep the HOPE ALIVE, anything can happen. Yeh jo discussion (Baat) yahan shuru *** hai, kam se kam se kam isne aapko yeh likhne pe to majboor kiya ki kuch nahi ho sakta.. It implies that you also want good for Our INDIA but your hope is gone..

The present scene of Indian politics is very dirty in Democracy and is resulting into great National wastage and loss on all accounts.

Firstly the political parties including the Congress have no moral values,discipline,respect for the country and man to man and above all no character and love for the country.All this show verything bad for the country,its development and alround growth.

Secondly,people here make fool of their own people to get votes.Once they win they do not recognise the people who brought them to the winning spree..

Thirdly politicians use all foul means and ways to remain in power as far as possible even at the cost of their couintry and people.THEY ARE THE REAL MAN EATERS IN EVERY SENSE.William

Godwin had correctly said in the 19th Century:-

Tiger preys not on tiger's brood
Man alone is the common foe of man

And this goes exactly with the indian politicians in all its correct meaning.

Fourthly they are cutting the throats of their own people for personal gains.They speak of serving the Nation,but infact they serve their own interests and prospects.

This is so because we have various regional and national parties but what they mean and stand for is not at all clear.They say one thing and mean different things.They would not hesitate to spread communal violance and other strifes to disturb the peace and benift out of this.

Where are we heading for,I feel towards destruction and trying to dig our own graves in politics.Where do we go after death and what do we carry along with us at the last journey-I think nothing,we leave everything here only.Even this body is not ours.Then what type ego do we have inside us.

Lastly the cheap and bickering politics of India today is not only dangerous for all of us but also not at all good for our N ational Security.

I feel we should have a minimum number of parties to have healthy competition and full of values and for the betterment of people and country as a whole.

You are very much right we cann't change currupt police,politicians and other Currupt officials. But there you can find also a lot of honest people who are realy honest and paid a heavy price for it. I can name some recent one Kiran Bedi,Geetha Johri(I.G. Gujrat), One Bombay MCD commissioner (Sorry to forget his name) who got transffered hundreds of times, A IAS officer and his wife who started a website on curruption in IAS lobby, A Xen from Electricity board who made even politicians and high level officials to pay their pending bills and cutdown the elec power of those who refused to pay. These people are some examples sorry I didn't mentioned the name of any politicians it does not mean that there is no honest politicans in India. We have a lot of them but they all are bound with the party and have no courage to speak something for political compultions. Want me to name some? Then do write to me.

Try to be honest to yourself and to your country. and "HUM HONGE KAMYAAB EK DIN".

I guess he had really tough time to cope with indian system. he might be regreting born in india. if he cud be in America or somewhere else he might have given noble prize for his dedication towards his work.

and Being honest doent make any sense. Refuse to give 50 Rs to traffice constable u will be slapped with challan of rs. 2000

Refuse to give 2000 to get farad of your home. you will never get your Home registered.

Refuse to give Money at police station when your mobile worth 10k is stolen u will never get your complaint registered.

Refuse to give commision at railway station. u will not get your ticket reserved.

Refuse to give Rs 50000 commision to CA .. bank manager will refuse to sanction your loan..

You have shown us the real picture. Its true that you can escape from giving money for getting your home registered, getting some water/electricity connection, giving money for passport varification, you have to give money to get your complaint regsitered.

You can't get the confirmed ticket seserved for long distance route without shelling some money to a hawker/TTE/Coolie, even a begger on railway station can you a confirmed ticket on the same day of jouney while other who booked a ticket a month back will start their journey standing all the way.

Its true you can't get your loan from the bank got sanctioned without giving commission to the sanctioning authority. (Dare not to contradict my point). which ranges from 5 to 15%.

But on the same time I personally prefer to pay the fine of Rs. 2000/- instead of giving 50/- to traffic police constable and I wanted share my last experience when after jumping a signal i was stoped by a Traffic policeman. On seeing me easilly ready for getting challaned, He spared me with a warning not to jump lights. (I am still shocked & not able to understand his behaviour).

Yes, that is what we were talking about. We, all knows that the Indian system is crrupt. We know every place, department is currupt.

The thing is how a indivisual can make difference to remove these culprits from system. So try to improve the system as you can in your own way. There are many examples in history also who make difference indivisually. Like Mr. Subhash Chander Bose, Mahatma Gandhi did in his their own way. They also started indivisually. So "WHEN THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY."  So try to contribute "find solution of problems" that will be great instead of counting the problems. May be this can imapct the people as did "Rang de Basanti". Keep sharing the way of improving the system or atleast society.

As we know a man makes family, a family makes Society, a society makes nations. So Improve yourself , a Nation will automatically improve.
